I wanted to find out what my target audience thought of the finished music video. Therefore I send them a link to the video using Whatsapp and Instagram and asked what they thought. These were the responses:

We decided to name the album the name of our chosen song and we did some research on song names for our genre and then listed some track song names that we think suited our genre.

Track names -

Making of Digipack!

 

We decided to use the website "Canva" to make our digipak. We used a template and added our pictures that we wanted to use on our digipak and started adding the album name on the front cover and the track lists on the back cover. 

We decided to stick with an orange neon theme as it matched the theme of the overall music promotional package and matched the aesthetic of the shots we took for our digipak!

Editing process #4 (Final Editing)

 

Im finally done editing our project! I think the transitions and the effects I added on my clips have made them much better :). My favourite parts arre the last few clips and the ending. I can't wait for you guys to see the final product.

Lighting plans!

 Me and my partner, Romaisa agreed that we wanted to keep a neon theme for most of our shots and also wanted to take sunset shots.

We wanted to use led lights but couldn’t seem to find any around us that we could really afford and so we decided to make them ourselves! We tested out our phones flashlight and cellophane sheets that we bought from a shop near us and pointed those on some random objects in our surrounding and took some test shots and decided that would work perfect for music video.

We also wanted to film chorus shots and the sunset lighting in the background worked perfectly well for that.

Editing process #3

Here I started to add the filler shots and the second and the second last chorus of the song! 

I added the flashback shots we took of the main actor and edited it over the second last chorus with the shot with the blue led light. I edited the flashback of the main girl on top of the singer to make sure the main female protagonist was in focus rather than the extras around her. 

After completing this I am almost done with my editing and just need to edit in the las chorus of the song and the end credits that I planned to leave for the next day.

Editing Process #2

 

I added the first 2 clips of the music video. I added fliters on top of the second clip to match it with the lighting of the first one. They now both have the red led light more vibrant on both the clips

I picked "Filmora" for the editing of my music video since it was the best and easiest to work with for my project.

I began the editing process by selecting a great opening that included the song's title and the artist's name.

I had a lot of possibilities, but I ultimately went with this neon design since I thought it suited my music video and looked really attractive, and I believed it would surely capture the attention of my target audience.

SHOOT DAY #3

 on the third shoot day we shot filler shots with the extras, We made a plan to shoot at a Theme Park since the filler shots were supposed to portray flashbacks. we took candid shots of the extras with joyful emotions to show the conflicting emotions of the different characters.

Equipment

 We used iPhone 13's camera and used its cinematic mode to shoot the shots, some of our shots were also done through gimble but as for our 360 degree shot it was done by hand by me (The camera operator)

We reshot the final chorus since we didn't like the lighting of the one we shot on day 1, and we decided to use the automobile again and include it in the video's ending as well.

SHOOT DAY #2

We decided to shoot on our second day at a friend's house because she had the vintage car we planned to use as a prop in our music video. On this day, we shot the bridge, intro, and pre chorus, with the majority of these being shot in or outside of the car because we loved the notion of having the car in our shots because it looked great. We also selected to shoot these at a later date so that we could use the chorus shots to create transitions.

This was the day we decided to use The LED light idea we planned to portray in our music promtional package.

Locations SHOOT DAY #2

 We chose to shoot the prechorus and the bridge at our friends house and we went their a day before to check the different locations at her house and where we wanted to film the car shots.

SHOOT DAY #1

 our shoot lasted 3 days, on our first day we filmed the chorus. for our setting we chose a public place, choosing a publoc place included many trials as filming consistent shots without being interrupted by the general public.

one risk factor was since we were filming on a rooftop and the main character was sitting on the boundary wall, but we ensured full safety of the character and made sure he consented to the conditions.

we filmed the chorus shots first since we had a clear idea of what we wanted and secondly its what our actor was most comfortable filming.
